Hiya! I am VioletStorm! My pronouns are she/her/hers. I am a multi-genre DJ/Performing Artist who loves doing live musical creation and live edits! I love blending and creating with progressive genres, and I love story telling and exploration through music. I also love dancing. My performance style was influenced by Jambands/Jamtronica that I used to listen to a lot back in the day, so you can expect a large amount of improvisation and freestyle elements; playing layered tracks as instruments within songs, and adding live/keys and synth when necessary, creating a truly unique EDM experience. 

VioletStorm (Taygeta Rose Payan) is also a proud Co-Owner of The Astrl Prjkt.

Some comments I've heard people say about my shows; "The vibeeeeeeeeees" "I feel like I'm floating" "That was unexpected" and "it felt like flying or driving really fast through a futuristic metropolis with a sort of intoxicating excitement" "She truly is her own genre" "That was f**n crazy!" VioletStorm has 2 types of sets:

MainFrame Set: The Main Squeeze. Uses her touch screen computer, specialized controller, and keyboard/synth for full creative freedom, allowing her to do all her edits and such Live, and allowing for the full scope of improvisation and other live techniques to occur.

CDJ Set: Uses Pioneer CDJS or equivalent; set will be generally faster paced and focus more on chopping and other similar techniques. 

Vibe Wise, VioletStorm also has different kinds of sets:

Below you will see an example of a Heavy Centered Set (Live @ BassStation 5.13.23) and an example of a Progressive/Psychedelic Centered Set (Ecstatic Earth 11:11..) there are overlaps between both/all of these types of sets vibe wise, and no two sets are exactly the same.

Rider Info for Talent Buyers/Promoters:

1."VioletStorm" is to be spelled as such stated in parenthesis, no spaces and Capital V and S if on any applicable announcements or flyers

2. Please provide a minimum of 2 water bottles during show, and please make sure there is Red Bull or equivalent available on the premises.

3. For lighting, please tell the lighting tech to be easy on strobes that are facing the artist, no bright blue colored lights shining at artist, and VioletStorm prefers UV/Purple/Violet lights to be used most when available

4. Equipment: Venue must provide space and mixer for VioletStorm to hook up her proprietary set up of Touch Screen Computer, mini mixer/loop pads/touch pad, mini keyboard (table that V.S. has is 36 inches wide). Not using this set up is non negotiable, accept in very limited situations (see below) if mixer is not available, back-line is also fine to plug directly into

5. In extreme cases, in remote areas where logistics of traveling with/setting electronics up are compromised (ie: beach, boat) then VioletStorm may use CDJs to a perform a special "CDJ set" If a CDJ set is to be played, then this must be advertised as such on any applicable flyers, promo etc
